About Venice

Venice is one of the most important and beautiful tourist destinations in the world, simply said, one of the cities that you must visit without hesitation.

With more than 2.5 million international visitor every year, Venice is know like one of the most romantic locations you can visit, being world-famous for its canals crossed with the gondola, the classical Venetian boat, mostly used for tourists, or for weddings, funerals, or other ceremonies.

Venice has more to offer than his canals and the rides with the gondola. Beautiful cityscape, St Mark’s Basilica, the Grand Canal, La Fenice opera house , the Piazza San Marco or Rialto Bridge are some of the tourist attractions that makes Venice unique.

The Murano glass and the Carnival of Venice are another two attractions who makes Venice famous. Located near Venice, Italy, Murano was a commercial port as far back as the 7th century. By the 10th century it had become a well-known city of trade. Today Murano remains a destination for tourists and art and jewelery lovers alike. On the other hand, the Carnival of Venice is held annually in the city, starting around two weeks before Ash Wednesday and ends on Shrove Tuesday. The Carnival of Venice is closely associated with Venetian masks.
